Healthy Homemade Bread

It is believed that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It should be the most healthy and nutritious meal of the day. I feel upset when I fail to feed a healthy breakfast to my family. Since there is a lockdown due to corona virus outbreak, the resources for us are limited. It is difficult for us to even fetch our daily needs. I have a solution for you. Why not make your own bread at home? This bread has a good golden crust, is extremely soft and just look at the colour on the sides.

INGREDIENTS

  • Whole Wheat Flour - 300g
  • All purpose flour - 150g
  • Sugar - according to taste (2 tbsp)
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Instant Yeast - 2 tsp
  • Fresh Cream - 3 tbsp
  • Milk - 120 ml
  • Water - 150 ml
  • Butter - 2 tbsp

PROCEDURE

Take 60 ml lukewarm water. Mix with instant yeast.

Add sugar.

Add salt and leave for 10 minutes

Add 60 ml water in milk and heat until it is lukewarm.

Sieve both the flours twice and mix them.

Pour the mixture into milk and dissolve.

Pour the milk into the flour gradually and start kneading.

This should be softer than your regular dough.

Leave this dough in a warm place for 2 hours for fermentation,

After 2 hours, the dough will rise double in size.

Now add little bit of butter.

Dust your workplace with little flour and transfer the dough. Punch the dough to soften it.

Shape the dough like a loaf of bread. Meanwhile preheat the oven on 180 degrees for 10 minutes.
NOTE: To check the doneness of the dough, slightly press the dough with your fingers. If the dough bounces back and the impression disappears, then it is ready to be put in the oven. If not, you need to beat it more. In case it starts to loosen, you need to add some more flour.

Put the dough in a well greased mould on butter paper.

Grease the dough with milk or butter.

Bake it in oven at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

Adjust timing according to your oven

Slice it down and serve when it comes to room temperature.
Store it in an air tight container and enjoy it.

Thank You!
Stay Blessed!!
And Please Stay at Home :)
