As you all know it is Spetember already. We all are going through a phase of change of season. With change of season, our taste buds also need something different. In order to satisfy our taste buds, I have a new recipe for all of you. Homemade Doughnuts. I know we all love doughnuts. They are the best of all appetizers. Kids are also very fond of them. Here is how to prepare them at home easily.
INGREDIENTS
- All purpose flour-1.5 cups (200 gm)
- Instant yeast-1/2 teaspoon
- Salt-a pinch
- Sugar-1 tablespoon
- Hung Curd-1 tablespoon
- Unsalted butter-1 tablespoon
- Warm milk-1/2 cup or as required
- Luke warm water-25 ml
- Dark chocolate(For glaze) -100 gm
- Sprinklers as required
HOW TO MAKE THE DOUGHNUT

Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water.Add sugar and mix well.Keep it aside till the mixture is frothy. |

Mix the flour and salt till everything is mixed well. |

Add the yeast mixture to the flour and stir. |

Add curd and butter at room temperature. |

Add little milk at a time for kneading the flour. |

Keep it aside in a nicely oiled bowl and cover the bowl with cling wrap.Keep it in a warm dry place for it to doudle in size. |

Apply little bit butter over it. |

Punch it down and knead for 5 minutes. |

Apply some flour on clean floor.Roll into thick disk of aapproximatly 1/4 th inch |

Roll it giving it round shape |

Roll into thick Disk. |

Using a glass make round cuts. |

Take the small cap of any bottle and make a hole like this in the center |

Cut like this. |

take star shape cookie cutter. cut the doughnut . |

Place them over butter paper. |

Apply somer oil on the top. So that they dont dry up.Cover them and keep aside for 1.5-2 hours so that they become puffy |

for melting chocolate take water in a pan. |

Place a bowl for mellting chocolate.Break the chocolate into small pieces so that they get melted. |

Stir after every 1-2 minutss.Bring the flame to medium. |

Stir it till it has pouring consistency. It takes 18-20 minutes for melting chocolate.Place the chocolate bowl on the wire rack. |

Put the dougnuts in oil. |

Fry it. |

Keep the flame on medium. |

Fry until they turn golden brown in colour.. |

Now take them out. |

Dust the doughnuts with powdered sugar. |
