Checkered Cake

Ingredients:

  • All purpose flour - 2 cup
  • Condensed Milk - 1 cup
  • Granulated Sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Baking Soda - 3/4 cup
  • Vanilla Essence - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Melted Butter - 3/4 cup
  • Cocoa Powder - 2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Warm Coffee - 1/3 cup ( 1/3 tsp coffee in 1/3 cup water)
  • Vanilla Essence - 1/2 teaspoon 


Procedure:

Preheat oven to 180 degrees for 10 minutes. 
Grease the cake mold and line up with butter paper.

Assemble all ingredients

Firstly, sieve baking powder and baking soda

Now, sieve sugar

Sieve all purpose flour

Add melted butter 

Mix using spatula

Now add milk gradually in 2-3 turns.

Mix it well after every addition

Add condensed milk

Blend it well

Add lemon jiuce

Add Vanilla essence

Whisk it thoroughly

Mix using whisk for 1 minure

Batter is ready.

Pour half of it for vanilla cake 

Level it in the tin using spatula

Place the tin in the preheated oven. Bake it for 30-35 minutes

Sieve cocoa powder and add to mixture.

For hot coffee -  Add coffee in hot water

Pour hot coffee in the chocolate batter.

Mix it with the help of spatula.

Pour the chocolate batter in another cake tin of the same size and bake it for 45 minutes.


                Both of the cakes are ready, Let them cool

Cut long strips of 1 inch width using knife.

Place identical strips together.

Wrap it tightly and freeze it.

You can also use FunFoods chocolate to stick different layers together.
Take it out from freezer once they stick.

Cut slices of checkered cake.

Ready to be served.
