Chilli Paneer (Dry)


One of my favorite recipes from the Indo-chinese cuisine. Providing you a very easy recipe. It is one of the most popular appetizer recipe. 


Ingredients :

  • White Onions -1 (Cubed and layers separated)
  • Spring Onions -1/3 cup(Cubed)
  • Paneer 
  • Capsicum - 1/2 cup (Cubed)
  • Ginger paste - 1tsp
  • Tomato sauce - 3-4 tsp
  • Soya sauce - 1tbsp
  • Chilly sauce - 1tbsp
  • Salt - according to taste
  • Coriander leaves - 1/3 cup
  • Oil - for deep frying

For batter:

  • Maida - 2tbsp
  • Cornflour - 2tbsp
  • Chilly powder - 1tsp
  • Salt - little/to taste
  • ginger paste - 1tsp
  • Water

Procedure:


For batter, add maida, cornflour and red chili powder

Add water , ginger paste and mix.

Slice paneer as shown

Marinate paneer in the batter

Keep all vegetables in one place.

Heat oil in a pan

Stir fry vegetables.

Add red chili powder, salt and black pepper

Mix thoroughly

Heat oil for shallow frying in karahi

Dip coated paneer in the karahi, fry on medium flame until they turn golden and crisp.

Now add this paneer to the mixture

Add tomato ketchup , chili sauce, soya sauce as per taste
Ready to be served
