Semolina cake is an easy and simple cake and it tastes yum. It is soft and healthy. Semolina, also known as Suji , is one of the healthiest foods in Indian Cuisine. But when it comes to preparing cakes, we stick to basic flour like maida or whole wheat flour. So this time I tried it out with a semolina cake.
Ingredients :
(1 cup = 250ml)
- Rava - 2 cups
- Baking soda - 1 tsp
- Baking soda - 1/2 tsp
- Milk - 1 cup
- Sugar - 1.5 cups
- Melted Butter - 1/2 cup
- Curd - 3/4 cup
- Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
- Tutti-Frutti - 2 tbsp
Procedure:
Preheat oven to 180 degrees for 10 minutes.

Grease an 8 inch round tin. |

Line up with parchment paper. |

Take 2 cups semolina in a bowl. |

Add baking powder. |

Add baking soda. |

Add sugar and cardamom powder and keep aside. |

Take another bowl and add melted butter. |

Add 1 tsp Vanilla essence. |

Now add curd. |

Add 1 cup milk. |

Mix well with a whisk. |

Add semolina about two tablespoons at a time, mixing after each addition. |

Mix until combined . |

Now add tutti-frutti |

Pour it in the baking tin. Tap it twice to level up uniformly and remove air bubbles. |

Bake it for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Do not overbake it. |
