Vrat ka Dosa (Navratri Special)

Vrat ka dosa is made from Sabudana and Samak rice (vrat ke rice).It tastes super delicious and is pretty easy to make. Here is fasting dosa.

During the fast when you get bored of eating usual meal or breakfast, This is the welcome change to your palate. It combines soaked Sabudana with soaked Samak rice and with other listed ingredients to form a thick batter.The method of making these dosas is the traditional method, where everything is soaked, ground and then fermented. Vrat dosa recipe with step by step photos.

INGREDIENTS 

  • (1 CUP=250ml)        
  • Samak rice - 1/2 cup (soaked in water)
  • Sabudana -1/4 cup (soaked in water)
  • Sendha salt -as per taste
  • Coriander (chopped)-2 teaspoon
  • Blake pepper- 1/2 teaspoon
  • Roasted cumin seeds-1/2 teaspoon


INGREDIENTS FOR STUFFING

  • Potato -4 boiled
  • ginger -1/2 inch
  • Sendha salt-1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds -1/2 teaspoon
  • Green chili -1-2
  • Coriender leaves (chopped)-2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper-1/2 teaspoon


HOW TO MAKE VRAT KA DOSA

Take 1/2 cup sabudana.Wash it well.

Soak it in water for 4 hours.

Take1 cup samank rice .Wash it well.

Soak samak rice in water for 4 hours.

Take medium size 4 potatoes.Bring it to boil.
                                                                             
Take soaked samak rice and soaked sabudana with 1&1/2 cup of water and grind into fine paste.
The consistency should be a bit runny, not a thick.

Take small portion of mixture ,add roasted cumin seeds in it.

Now add blake pepper .

Add coriander in it.

Take a pan and add oil in it.Put cumin seeds and green chilli in it

add ginger paste

now add black pepper and sendha salt to it

now add boil potatoes and red chilli powder

now add coriander.Keep aside.

heat a pan over medium flame and add a bit of oil and spread it

Sture  the batter properly and put dosa batter on the pan

cook for about a minute

flip over. cook for 2 minutes from another side.flip over and check your dosa
whether its cooked or not

your dosa is perfectly cooked.

you can put potato mixture in it .You can have it with coconut chutni too.
