Chilli Mushroom 

Chilly Mushroom Recipe is an Indo-Chinese Recipe. This dry chilly mushroom recipe is pretty simple to make and goes well as snack or brunch. Also it makes a good starter for mushroom biryani , pulao and all rice varieties, bread varieties like naan, chapattis.   


  When coming to the health benefits of mushroom, it is the only vegetable that has Vitamin D. So consider having mushroom in your daily diet. Fresh mushroom can be added to everyday dishes to provide an extra serving of vegetables and deliver important nutrients including niacin, selenium and riboflavin.

Ingredients:

  • White Onions -1 (Cubed and layers separated)
  • Spring Onions-1/3 cup(Cubed)
  • Capsicum-1/2 cup (Cubed)
  • Red bell pepper-1/3 cup(Cubed)
  • Yellow bell pepper-1/3 cup(Cubed)
  • Ginger paste-1tsp
  • Tomato sause-3-4 tsp
  • Soya sauce-1tbsp
  • Chilly sauce-1tbsp
  • Salt- according to taste
  • Coriander leaves-1/3 cup
  • Oil-for deep frying

For batter:

  • Maida-2tbsp
  • Cornflour-2tbsp
  • Chilly powder-1tsp
  • Salt-little/to taste
  • ginger paste-1tsp
  • Water

How to make Chilli Mushroom:


Wash Mushroom with salted cold water, (Don't soak it for much longer.)

Rinse & wipe dry Mushrooms.Trim the stalks. Cut into quarter if bigger in size else just cut in half.
For batter, add maida, cornflour and red chili powder.

Marinate Mushrooms in this batter

Heat Oil for Shallow frying in Karahi, dip coated mushrooms. Fry on medium flame till they are slightly golden & crisp.Take out from the karahi.
Take white onion & separate its layers

Cut red bell pepper, yellow bell pepper and capsicum in cubed size.
Add white onion and stir fry.

Add red chilli powder, salt, black pepper.

Add capsicum.

Prepare a mixture of soya sauce, tomato puree/ketchup.

Add bell peppers.

Pour the mixture of sauces.

Add fried mushrooms to them.

Stir them on medium flame.

Add coriander for garnishing.
Ready to serve.
